A platform truck is without a pallet which is powered and there is no stack on it. These platform trucks are wider than pallet trucks which are more efficient to carry more loads as compared to pallet trucks. These platform trucks are powered battery operations. It has Greater lifting capacity compared to fork trucks because the platform provides a greater lifting surface to support a load. Platform truck comes in many forms. Normally it has low platform which has three to four wheels, two of which are usually fixed while the remainder swivel to allow the platform truck to be steered. A platform on which all the wheels swivel referred to as dolly. It has applications where it may be necessary to move the dolly in any direction. One negative of this type of dolly is that with all the wheels able to turn, the dolly is often hard to steer straight over long distances.
