A belt conveyor with the conveyor belt edges elevated on the carrying run to form a trough by conforming to the shape of the troughed carrying idlers or other supporting surface. Troughed belt conveyor intended primarily for conveying bulk material, for example coal, aggregate and animal feeding stuffs etc. The troughed belt conveyor is supported at its in feed and out feed ends by waisted rollers and is supported between its ends by horizontal and inclined rollers which maintain the belt in its troughed shape. It is mainly used to transport bulk materials. When loaded, the belt conforms to the shape of the troughed rollers and idlers. It is capable of carrying tons of bulk materials with minimum cost. The troughed belt conveyors can be made horizontal, inclined upward or downward.
